Clínica Girona extends a warm welcome and wishes you a speedy and complete recovery. From the moment of admission, the centre's staff are at your service for anything you wish to ask or request. This Client Guide provides some useful information to help you during your stay at Clínica Girona.
Our services:
Meals
For inpatients, the visiting hours are:
- Breakfast: From 8:30 AM.
- Lunch:From 12:45 pm.
- Breakfast:From 4:30 p.m.
- Dinner: From 7:45 PM and supper at 9:45 PM.
The daily menu is designed taking into account the needs of inpatients and is subject to the instructions of the responsible doctors. No other food or drink is permitted without medical consent.
Coffe shop - restaurant
For relatives and visitors there is a coffee shop-restaurant, located on the ground floor of the building, which offers service from 8 am to 9 pm. Lunches are served from 1 pm to 3 pm and dinners from 8 pm to 9 pm.
Infirmary
Each ward has a nursing team available for admitted patients. If you have any problems or unforeseen issues, please inform your nurse, who will arrange for them to be resolved.
Visitor bed
If someone wishes to stay overnight with the admitted person, they will need to inform the ward staff in advance. The accompanying person's bed will need to be vacated by 8 a.m..
Telephone
To make a phone call from a room, you need Mark the “0” first and then the desired number.
Religion
To request additional services, please ask at the ward's nursing station.
Personalised attention
At Clínica Girona you will receive the most humane treatment. We have Customer Service and an extract from the Charter of Rights and Duties of citizens in relation to health and healthcare on the room's TV.
TV and Wi-Fi
The TV is subscription-based and provides Premium Internet access. To access it, you need the case number what they have been given at Admissions or what you can ask to your nurse. The TV service can be activated from Admissions or from the in-room TV.
Parking
The Centre has 180 parking spaces situated at the plants -2i -3. There is a vending machine on each floor.
Document Requests
To request a copy of your medical history, reports, or additional tests, you need to:
Send the application form, which you will find here as a PDF, to the department of Documentation of Clínica Gironaarxiu@clinicagirona.cat) duly completed and signed. The application indicates the documentation that must be attached.
Once we receive the application form, we will reply to the email with the encrypted documentation and in a second email, you will find the password which will allow you to access it.

Rules of coexistence and recommendations
Visiting hours
Visiting hours are from 9 am to 9 pm. Outside of these hours, only one accompanying person for admitted patient is advisable. For your benefit, we request that no more than three visitors are present in a room at any one time. The visit of children under six years of age is not recommended..
Respect in the healthcare setting
Respecting the basic standards of behaviour in a healthcare institution: No smoking within the entire hospital complex, silence or switch off mobile phones, speak in a low voice, do not enter with animals and respect the instructions of the centre's staff.
Medicaments
At the time of admission, you must inform us if you take any medication regularly. During your stay at the Clinic you must not take any medication on your own - not even the usual ones–, only those prescribed by the doctor and administered by the nurse.
Outings
The inpatients can't go out from the ward where they are hospitalised without medical authorisation and from the nurse on their ward.
Valuables
The centre cannot be held responsible for valuables not deposited in the safe at Admissions/Administration.
Discharge
If the medical discharge is given in the morning, the patient will have to leave the room before 12 pm. If discharged in the afternoon, before six in the evening.
UCI
If admission to the ICU is required, the Admissions Department may request that you vacate the room, taking into account hospital bed requirements.
Administration
Once discharged from hospital, the patient must peport to the Admissions/Administration department to notify them of their departure.. The service is open from 7 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm.
