Admissions
The administrative staff will ask for your details or those of the person you are visiting to be admitted to A&E, presenting your insurance card or your personal details if you are a private patient. You will be given a ticket with a numerical code that will be used to notify you, thereby preserving your confidentiality of your identity.
From this moment, we recommend that you remain attentive and do not leave the waiting room.

Please keep an eye on the screen, as when your code appears followed by the word “triaged,” you will be directed to the indicated door, where you will be attended to by the triage staff. This notification is given, except in exceptional circumstances, in A time of less than 15 minutes.

If the reason for your attendance is a Workplace, traffic or sports accident, which allows us to facilitate the insurance company's documentation, who will cover your expenses.

Triage:
We prioritise the attention given to patients using a validated and standardised triage method. This system allows for an initial assessment of each person requiring attention and categorises them into five levels according to the urgency of their visit, regardless of the order in which they arrived.

You will be attended to by our staff in order to determine the priority of care and the most appropriate specialty. Assistance is not provided on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather according to urgency.

Patient classification is carried out using the Andorran Triage Method (MAT), which takes into account the severity of the patient. The priority of care is determined by severity and not by arrival time.

The triage levels are:

  1. LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY Immediately.
  2. URGENT Foreseeable vital risk.
  3. URGENT: Potential risk to life.
  4. URGENT MESSAGE: Risk of death (according to healthcare pressure).
  5. Not urgent: Without vital risk, not urgent.

At peak demand times, The waiting time can increase considerably, mainly at levels 4 and 5. We ask for your understanding..

Only one accompanying person will be allowed in once the patient is in the cubicle. Fragile patients, minors, or those in special circumstances may always have a companion with them throughout their stay in the emergency department. It is advisable that it is always the same person, to avoid changes distorting the functioning of the service and communication with the family.

  • Once your medical treatment is complete, we will provide you with a discharge report and, if necessary, prescriptions for any medication. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask them before leaving A&E. In accordance with Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights, Medical information cannot be given over the telephone.
  • Should admission be required, we will provide you with the necessary information for your stay at the Clinic.
  • Should you require a certificate of your stay in the Emergency Department, you can request one at the admissions desk.
