Dr. Solà trained at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and specialised at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital. Upon returning to Girona, he contributed to the introduction and development of techniques such as ultrasound and CT scans, actively participating in a new era for Radiology in the region. He has dedicated his entire life to medicine, particularly Radiology, being at the forefront of the evolution of Diagnostic Imaging.

Linked to Clínica Girona since 1980, he has developed the bulk of his career there, becoming a key figure in its growth. From the chairmanship of the Board of Directors, Dr. Solà has actively participated in the modernisation of the centre, the incorporation of new technologies, and one of the most important projects in its history: the construction, relocation, and consolidation of the new building.

Coming from a family with a medical tradition, he has kept this calling alive over the years and has seen new generations continue on this path with their connection to the world of medicine and Clínica Girona.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Solà remembered his predecessor doctors and his time at Dr. Josep Trueta Hospital, and wished to highlight the importance of all the people who are part of Clínica Girona, especially mentioning Carles Espígol and explaining that “without them this new centre, which we are so proud of, would not have been possible.”.

Finally, he highlighted that this recognition, which he considers to be more for what “Clínica Girona represents for the city and for the Girona regions” than for him personally, represents “an encouragement for me and for the new generations involved in making Clínica Girona better every day”.
