Robotic surgery
Da Vinci robotic surgery
Clínica Girona has a Da Vinci robotic system that allows for minimally invasive surgical procedures with great precision and control, resulting in the best result from the interventions and faster patient recovery. Our team of experts assesses the patient's suitability for robotic surgery based on their pathology and designs a personalised strategy, taking advantage of the benefits offered by this technology.
This surgical system allows surgeons to perform complex operations using small incisions using a robotic console that controls the instruments and a 3D high-definition camera. The surgeon, via the console's actuators, controls the robot's arms, which reproduce and amplify the ordered movements.

Past, present and future
Clínica Girona is a healthcare company founded in 1934 and integrated into the SISCAT (Integral Public Health System of Catalonia) with a commitment to complementarity with the public health system, both in comprehensive care and in diagnostic and therapeutic support services.
We direct our efforts towards providing specialised outpatient and inpatient healthcare, with the aim of offering a quality healthcare service to the population of the Girona regions, responding to criteria of efficacy., privacy, human treatment and accessibility.
At Clínica Girona we work 600 professionals between medical, nursing, administrative and operational staff, and we constantly promote continuous training in order to face the emerging health challenges. Our centre has been built on two fundamental pillars, which are the development of the professionals who work there and the technological development of the centre.
We were the first clinic in the city of Girona (1934), the first to establish a Dialysis centre in the Girona region (1974), and pioneers in implementing new Diagnostic Imaging techniques (CT and Magnetic Resonance) and in providing Nuclear Medicine services in Girona. Our commitment is to attract medical talent from our region and incorporate most advanced technology to offer the best assistance to our patients. Evidence of this is that in 2026 we have incorporated the first fixed Da Vinci robotic system in a private hospital in the Girona region.
