Graduated in Medicine in 2004 at Universitat de Barcelona. Specialist in Gynaecology and Obstetrics by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) of the United Kingdom, of which she has been a member since 2013.
Trajectory
In 2015, he went to work for two years at Monash Health's Pelvic Floor Unit in Melbourne (Australia) to carry out his subspecialisation in Urogynaecology. There he dedicated himself almost exclusively to treating patients with problems related to pelvic floor dysfunction, especially urinary incontinence, prolapse, and obstetric injuries.
In 2017, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) awarded Dr Meléndez Muñoz Fellow status for his expertise and contribution to the specialty during his time in Australia.
Currently, Dr Meléndez Muñoz is the coordinator of the Pelvic Floor Unit in the Gynaecology and Obstetrics service at Hospital Universitari Josep Trueta in Girona, where, in addition to clinical work, he plays an important role in both training and research projects.
Dr. Meléndez Muñoz offers private consultations at Centre Avançat per al Tractament del Sòl Pelvià (CATSP) at Clínica Causse Girona (formerly Clínica Onyar) and at Meléndez Ginecologia, also in Girona.

Member of the Terminology and Standardisation Committee of the International UroGynaecology Association (IUGA) and the Terminology Committee of the International Continence Society (ICS).
