Catalonia already has its first baby of the year. It is called Cervical I arrived in the world just six minutes after midnight on January 1st, 2026. The birth took place at the Clínica Girona, turning this centre into the focus of the New Year's celebrations throughout the territory.

Little Biel was born weighing 3,240 kilos and a length of 50 centimetres. According to medical sources at the centre, both the baby and the mother are in perfect health. The family resides in Salt; her mother, Anabel, and her older sister, Ivet, have been very excited to receive this early Three Kings' Day gift, which has already become the centre of the day's news.

In the attached image, you can see the moment when the clinic manager, Miquel Grabulosa, and the clinical director, the Dr Eva Palau, a gift was presented to the mother to commemorate this very special occasion.
