Have you thought about donating blood? Have you thought about giving the gift of life? We invite you to come and see this photographic exhibition by Donem Girona, in the foyer of Clínica Girona, from 8 to 28 November. And on Wednesday 15 November, there was a talk in the auditorium with testimonials from transplant recipients.
Donem Girona is a project comprising transplant patients, donors, healthcare professionals, and individuals who are supportive of organ donation. Therefore, it reflects the society of the country.
The main objectives of the project are, on the one hand, to thank donors and families for their generosity and altruism and, on the other, to raise society's awareness of the importance of donation.
For this reason, for approximately a year now, the itinerant photographic exhibition #vidaregalada has been organised, showcasing the extra lifeline that recipients enjoy thanks to donation. This exhibition has been displayed in all the faculties in Girona, at Dr Josep Trueta Hospital, at the COMG headquarters, at Figueres Hospital, and now continues its hospital tour at Clínica Girona, which is debuting with an exhibition in its lobby.
Talk: “A Gifted Life”
It was held on Wednesday 15th November, at 7 p.m., at the Auditorium of Clínica Girona, with the participation of transplanted individuals and medical professionals.
On Wednesday, 15th November 2023, at 7:00 PM, a talk was held in the Auditorium of Clínica Girona to explain the importance of donation, with the participation Judit Valle Sánchez, ’s mother’Aale, a three-year-old heart transplant recipient, Dr. Eva Palau, Director of Nursing at Clínica Girona, Núria Pi and Anna Guitart, kidney transplant recipients, who shared their experiences, and the intervention of Dr. Josep Soler, psychologist in the ICU of Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona, who spoke about support in donation decision-making.
Thanks to the testimonies of transplant recipients, who shared their experiences at the talk “A Gifted Life,” which took place yesterday at @ClinicaGirona and was organised by Donem Girona. The exhibition can still be seen until the 28th of November.

The organisers hope that this event will facilitate the internal spaces for thought and reflection necessary to decide to become a donor.
Out of respect for immunocompromised individuals who will be attending the event, which is open to the public, the use of face masks during the event was recommended.
