More than 100,000 people have visited the permanent exhibition for Clínica Girona's 75th anniversary, a commemorative historical display presented on graphic panels, which has been installed on the main floor of the Clinic since 15 March 2009.
At the exhibition, it is explained how on March 15, 1934, Dr. Francesc Coll i Turbau, along with seven other doctors, established the company “Clínica Girona S.A.” and how over all these years Clínica Girona has evolved and grown at a frenetic pace, just as medicine, the city, or society in general have evolved and grown.
The exhibition dedicates a space to showcase that Clínica Girona was the first clinic to open in the city of Girona, the first to set up a Dialysis centre in the Girona region (1974). It was a pioneer in implementing new diagnostic imaging techniques (Magnetic Resonance, in 1997) and introduced Girona's first Nuclear Medicine service (2001), among other achievements.
