5th June 2024 at Clínica Girona, atto provide a multidisciplinary overview of Assisted Reproduction.
On 5 June, an awareness event on Assisted Reproduction was held in the Auditorium of Clínica Girona, with the participation of several specialists in gynaecology, embryology, genetics, psychology and nutrition, to provide a multidisciplinary view of assisted reproduction today.
During the Conference, the various aspects of Assisted Reproduction treatments were addressed: the medical part, the laboratory work, complementary techniques, such as fertility preservation, psychological and nutritional support, and genetic counselling.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), at least 15%% of couples, at some point in their lives, have to face a reproductive problem, with all the feelings and frustrations that this often brings.
This difficulty in conceiving a child naturally tends to generate doubts and uncertainties which, along with a lack of knowledge of the causes and possible solutions, can lead to a stressful situation for the couple.
Nowadays, Reproductive Medicine and the Embryology Laboratory are increasingly effectively helping to find and treat infertility problems.
A thorough preliminary study is important to determine the causes and propose the most suitable treatment.
