4 June – Afternoon 6 PM XISCG Success Stories Catalan Society of Digital Health
On 4th June, a Conference titled “Success Stories from the Girona Health Innovation Network” was held, both in person and via streaming, at Clínica Girona. The event was organised by this network and the Catalan Society of Digital Health. The conference evaluated exemplary cases from XISCG entities that have successfully implemented innovation to improve patient care, optimise internal processes, and increase the overall efficiency of the health system. Through concrete examples, innovative practices and disruptive technologies that have been successfully implemented were showcased, highlighting the observed benefits and the lessons learned during the innovation process.
Among the success stories presented, radiologist Dr. Kai Vilanova, director of the Magnetic Resonance Service at Clínica Girona, explained how Clínica Girona has been a pioneer in the country in implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in Magnetic Resonance for the first time, and highlighted the benefits of applying it: “Basically, we save scanning time and obtain better image quality in less time.” Clínica Bofill, Campdevànol Hospital, Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona, and IDIBGI also presented some success stories.
